Walkable Fire-Rated Glass Ceiling / Fire-Rated Glass Floor/
The primary purpose of fire- and smoke-resistant doors is the protection of life, and their planning, selection, application, and maintenance come with great responsibility. Therefore, fire- and smoke-resistant doors and their manufacturing must comply with numerous standards and legal requirements, and their compliance must be ensured. Alongside these, other aesthetic and practical considerations can also be taken into account.
Coolfire Ltd.’s expertise, product suitability, and reliability are supported by:
- The pioneers of introducing aluminum-framed glazed fire- and smoke-resistant doors in Hungary
- Over 15 years of market presence and experience
- The use of fire-resistant doors in numerous buildings, and their trouble-free operation, durability, and maintenance
The Coolfire – Polflam F Fire-Rated Walkable Glass Ceiling (Fire-Rated Glass Floor) is a unique product line, offering the possibility to combine with or replace concrete ceilings at fire zone boundaries, creating a modern, bright, and special environment. The glass surfaces enhance natural light, providing a greater sense of space.
Available in regular rectangular, triangular, or circular shapes.
Its function, in addition to preventing the spread of fire, is to serve as a load-bearing, walkable, barrier-free floor that is easy to clean and durable.

or sealing fire-rated openings at horizontal fire compartment boundaries, in areas where there is pedestrian traffic and where transparency of the ceiling is an important factor (for aesthetic or functional reasons).
Any type of fire-rated floor or floor replacement can be installed:
In public buildings, shopping centers, hospitals, institutions, office buildings, residential buildings, and private areas.
Its application is possible in interior spaces; it is recommended only in protected areas on facades.
The placement of the glass ceiling aligns with the surrounding plane, making it barrier-free. It can only be applied on a horizontal plane.
The shape of the glass panels can be: rectangle, square, shaped quadrilateral, triangle, or circle.
A larger surface area with a custom shape can be created from multiple glass panels.
The glass field is equipped with a ≥ 50 mm opaque border screen print to conceal the structural framework of the floor system.
The screen print provides slip-resistant properties to the glass surface and also enhances its external appearance.
The entire surface can be fitted with slip-resistant patterns, offering safety against slipping with an R9 rating. The patterns can include: dots, circles, squares, or stripes.
The printed borders and surface patterns are available in various RAL colors.
The glass surface can be fully transparent, satin glass, or in RAL colors.
The glass is designed with thermal insulation.
When selecting the supporting structures, only the types specified in the permit, based on measurement results, are allowed for the installation of fire-rated doors and windows.
For the installation of the Coolfire PF walkable fire-rated glass ceiling (fire-rated glass floor), a dimensioned supporting structure is always required, which may be:
- Concrete and concrete lintels
- Concrete and fire-protected steel lintels
- Fire-protected steel supporting structures
For each application, the design of the load-bearing structure, as well as all elements and connections exposed to static loads, must be checked with structural calculations.
