The primary goal of fire-rated and smoke-rated openings is to protect lives, and their design, selection, application, and maintenance come with great responsibility. Therefore, fire-rated and smoke-rated openings, as well as their manufacturing, must meet a number of standards and legal requirements, and proof of compliance must be provided. Alongside these requirements, aesthetic and practical considerations can be taken into account.

The Coolfire – Ponzio PE78 EI and the proprietary Coolfire – Sapa74 EI fire-rated aluminum-profiled, glazed, non-load-bearing walls are certified product families manufactured by Coolfire. In addition to their fire protection performance, they also possess the performance characteristics of non-load-bearing walls, making them suitable for both interior and façade applications. The validated and considered size range offers numerous possibilities for diverse solutions.

Non-load-bearing, fire-rated glass walls are certified for performance consistency through the National Technical Assessment (NMÉ), based on which the Performance Declaration can be issued:

- MSZ EN 15254-4:2019: Extended application of fire resistance test results for non-load-bearing glazed structures.
- MSZ EN 13501-2:2016-07: Classification in accordance with this standard.
- ÜGYE – Factory Production Control.
Other properties to be confirmed for façade applications:
- EN 12210:2001 Wind resistance: C1 (8000/12000 Pa).
- EN 12208:2001 Water tightness: Class 5A.
- EN 12207:2001 Air permeability: Class 4.

- Tested with multiple types of glass, offering flexibility in terms of manufacturing time, size, and price.
- Instead of glass infill, aluminum sheet-covered panel inserts can also be used.
- The panel insert can be equipped with a fire-rated ventilated grille.
- The structure is suitable for arched or shaped facade designs.
- Available in EI30, EI60 fire resistance for circular walls with a 1.5m diameter and fixed windows.
- Available in EI30, EI60 fire resistance for multi-pane glass walls, without vertical profiles, designed for interior use and fitting elegant environments.
- The EI120 fire-rated glass wall is made from a 98mm deep profile.
- The 98mm profile is suitable for EI60 fire resistance, with a thicker glass construction achieving better thermal insulation properties.
- The structures are advanced in thermal insulation when using DGU and TGU glass constructions.
- Fire barriers on facades can be replaced up to parapet height, can be combined with non-fire-rated glass structures, casement/tilt windows from the same product line, creating a homogeneous appearance and ensuring a bright interior.

Fire-Rated Glass Walls for Facades, Horizontal and Vertical Fire Spread Protection:
- Fire Barrier up to parapet height
- Suitable for openings in facades of buildings belonging to different fire zones, with fixed windows and glass walls, whether straight or angled.
- For facade openings of adjacent, nearby buildings, glass doors, and walls.
- For recessed areas in facades.
Indoor Use – Can replace brick or gypsum board partition walls in fire zones where natural light, transparency, and an elegant appearance are required.

The aluminum profiles are powder-coated in RAL colors using the latest technology, ensuring a durable and attractive finish. Based on the testing results, the permissible application range is wide, providing various solutions for different needs.

Frame/Profile Structure (PE78):
- 78 mm deep profiles with a raised glass holder rim, equipped with a rubber insert on the facade side. The glass structure is secured from the inside with glass-clamping battens. This results in:
- Increased thickness of the applicable glass constructions, allowing more options for selecting glass types.
- Improved thermal and acoustic insulation performance.
- Maximum glass construction thickness: 15-60 mm
- Elegant appearance.
The aluminum profiles come in varying widths and can be combined, ensuring that the structure not only meets technical compliance but also has a refined, delicate appearance.
The frame extensions ensure an elegant connection with insulation or thicker wall cladding.
In addition to the powder-coated finishes, the profiles can also be provided with a high-quality, wood-patterned custom surface.
